-The walls are pealing
-The ceilings and door frames are low
(Nate has to duck to get into our living room)
-The floor is old, firm, and dirty
-Half of our outlets don't work
-Yellow stuff drips down the walls whenever a room gets steamy
(Like when we shower or cook)
-The fridge leaks huge puddles daily on the kitchen floor
-Our kitchen sink drains so slowly that I can't to dishes in it
(I use pots to hold bubbly water to wash them)
-Whenever our neighbors turn on their water, it floods our kitchen sink.
-We can't control the heat so it's always cold
-And sometimes when we come home, there'll be a creepy smell
I think that about sums it up
Don't worry, we're still as happy as can be. We're just happy we have an apartment at all (they're so hard to come by in Rexburg, unless you got a bunch of cash). It'll be fun to look back and know that we survived the Pit of Despair!
So because half of our outlets don't work, I don't have any working pugs in the bathroom. This becomes a problem when I try to do my hair in the mornings. Lately, I've just been braiding my hair to save hassle, and last week I tried to straighten it in my bedroom while running back and forth to the bathroom to check it in the mirror. That took forever and in the end, my hair was still wavy. I figure I can just pick up a mirror at the DI or something and then my problem will be solved.
But today me and Nate are going to the temple, so I wanted to do my hair. I had the genius idea to curl it in the living room and use my computer camera as my mirror in photobooth! This actually worked really well besides the fact that there is a slight delay in the computer's video camera so it was a bit trippy. Anyways, as I was doing this, I decided to take a picture while I was at it of how dorky I looked. So here you go.
Don't judge the way I do my hair. I haven't figured out a more efficient way yet, so I'll stick with my hair tie and mouth routine.
Anyways, have a great weekend and all that junk.
Oh, and I can't wait for Star Trek! We're seeing it tomorrow and I'm way excited!
The end

awww, Kate! The joys of living in an apartment! Althought yours sounds MUCH worse than ours was. Our ceiling was like a waterfall between our living room and kitchen and we called over and over to get it fixed, finally almost after a year of waiting they patched it up. But it literally was a waterfall line. Glad you guys are doing ok, and surviving ;)
HAHAHA!!! I love your picture! You are so awesome Kate! I love your Blog but we should visit in person soon! Love you!
