Canyon Lake

While Nate and I were down for Diana's wedding, my uncle Wayne took Chad and us to Canyon Lake on his boat. Everyone tried wake surfing, but I stuck to wake boarding (the last pic is me). It was a lot of fun! Yay for uncles with boats!!!

Really? I thought it couldn't get any worse!

Well, just as we thought the pit of despair couldn't get any worse. . .

IT DID!!!!!

Our bathroom sink began to flood. It flooded out and under the walls. Our hallway is wet and our whole apartment spells so bad! This is not clean water we're talking about, it came from the BATHROOM SINK!!!

Luckily, our landlord fixed the flooding problem, but the stench still remains. I hope we don't get sick from it. Let's just say if Nate and I grow extra mutated body parts. . . you'll know why

The third best day of our lives

Nate's mom and sister are visiting from New Mexico this week. Diedre and I decided to invite Abigail to a sister sleepover which ended up being a lot of fun! We went to the park, rode on the marry go round, got snow cones, watched Monsters vs Aliens in the cheap theatre, made tacos and cookies, played games, and had a pillow fight. Here's some pictures from our adventures:

Raging Bluegrass Dance?

So Diedre and Ethan saw signs in the post office for a fiddle contest and dance in Rigby last saturday, and Nate and I got excited about it too, so we all went together. It'd been a while since I've been to a good dance and Nate and I rarely do this kind of thing. Plus, a fiddle contest sounded awesome! So we headed out with excitement in our hearts.

When we got there, we wandered into the old barn where it was being held. We soon realized that we were the only ones under the age of sixty there. What was worse, it the music was no raging bluegrass, but rather old people playing fiddle waltz's and polkas. One of the old men started to sing a song and forgot the words and so they had to start over. It was way casual and not very professional.

At first we were disappointed, but we decided to stay and make the best of it. It actually ended up being a lot of fun. We stayed for 3 groups and Ethan and Diedre even danced a few songs. We only left when an old couple threatened to teach Ethan and Diedre how to waltz.
