Halloween

Happy Halloween!!!

This was one of the most enjoyable Halloween's EVER! It was the day I started feeling better after a weeks worth of illness! Also, it was Nate's very first time passing candy out to the trick or treater's. We set up lawn chairs in front of Ethan and Diedre's. Then we went to Al and Rachel's to watch Unbreakable. It was a great night, and I only ate 2 pieces of candy. I Butterfingers and a Reces.

Stockings!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
I am so excited for christmas this year! Diedre and I made stockings!!! These ones are the ones I made, but the ones Diedre made are the same pattern, just different fabric. The red one is mine, and I made the green one for Nate. Precious? YES!

Conference Weekend

Nate, Ethan, Diedre and I went down to Bountiful to spend some time with the Grandparents. Cameron and Marquette came up too! It was so fun to have all the siblings (minus Abby) together! While we were there, we went to this amusement place thing called Hollywood something or other (Sorry Kathleen). We ended up having a blast! It was a grand day out full of good times and great bonding. Here's some pics to illustrate!

I was trying to jump and land. It didn't work the first time, but I got it the second time ;)

It was Marquette's first time on skates

Wedding Video

Lately random people from my ward have been coming up to me saying they've seen my wedding video. One of my friends just got back from going home to the summer and she said that she showed my wedding video to all of her 70 cousins and family. Looks like "Kate and Nate" is entertaining enough for people who don't even know us!

Wanna watch? http://www.babyboomerang.com/Baby_Boomerang/Other_Movies/Entries/2008/12/30_Kate_%26_Nate.html

St. Anthony

Last week my mom came up with Jet to help her settle down in her new apt etc. We had a really great time! Mom took us all out to St Anthony and showed us where her dad took her family when she was little. This is where her dad taught her to swim in the rapids. My mom was the only one planning on getting in at first, but then due to an adventures whim and a little peer pressure, we all ended up getting wet (besides Ethan and Diedre who went fishing and took pictures). It was a lot of fun!

Canyon Lake

While Nate and I were down for Diana's wedding, my uncle Wayne took Chad and us to Canyon Lake on his boat. Everyone tried wake surfing, but I stuck to wake boarding (the last pic is me). It was a lot of fun! Yay for uncles with boats!!!

Really? I thought it couldn't get any worse!

Well, just as we thought the pit of despair couldn't get any worse. . .

IT DID!!!!!

Our bathroom sink began to flood. It flooded out and under the walls. Our hallway is wet and our whole apartment spells so bad! This is not clean water we're talking about, it came from the BATHROOM SINK!!!

Luckily, our landlord fixed the flooding problem, but the stench still remains. I hope we don't get sick from it. Let's just say if Nate and I grow extra mutated body parts. . . you'll know why

The third best day of our lives

Nate's mom and sister are visiting from New Mexico this week. Diedre and I decided to invite Abigail to a sister sleepover which ended up being a lot of fun! We went to the park, rode on the marry go round, got snow cones, watched Monsters vs Aliens in the cheap theatre, made tacos and cookies, played games, and had a pillow fight. Here's some pictures from our adventures:

Raging Bluegrass Dance?

So Diedre and Ethan saw signs in the post office for a fiddle contest and dance in Rigby last saturday, and Nate and I got excited about it too, so we all went together. It'd been a while since I've been to a good dance and Nate and I rarely do this kind of thing. Plus, a fiddle contest sounded awesome! So we headed out with excitement in our hearts.

When we got there, we wandered into the old barn where it was being held. We soon realized that we were the only ones under the age of sixty there. What was worse, it the music was no raging bluegrass, but rather old people playing fiddle waltz's and polkas. One of the old men started to sing a song and forgot the words and so they had to start over. It was way casual and not very professional.

At first we were disappointed, but we decided to stay and make the best of it. It actually ended up being a lot of fun. We stayed for 3 groups and Ethan and Diedre even danced a few songs. We only left when an old couple threatened to teach Ethan and Diedre how to waltz.

Campfires and Steaks

On monday (memorial day) Nate, Ethan, Diedre, and I went up in the mountains and cooked steaks over a campfire. They were so good but we forgot plates and forks so we had to eat them with our hands and teeth all hard core like.

After our steaks, we hung out and cooked some smores. I haven't had a smore in a while, and they were sooo good! Oh, yeah, and then we started talking about jumping over fires, so naturally, we all had to do it. Ethan didn't make it though. He's in the hospital as we speak about to get foot surgery on his scalded feet! JK, we all made it just fine.

Anyways, there you have it.
Another jolly good adventure in my years in Rexburg.
